ENCODER REPEATER 2000KHz: This module is to be used for extending encoder cables. Encoder repeater module receives two differential signals viz +A,-A,+B,-B signals (3-10 VDC or 10-24 VDC PP) and reproduces same signals with amplitude 12Vpp (Supply voltage 12VDC) or 5Vpp (Supply voltage 5.00VDC).

Important points to be remembered when extending encoder cable
1) The IR drop along the length is also dependent on quality of the cable used and also on cross sectional area of the conducting strands in sq.mm.
2) The IR drop also depends on the load connected. The device (Servo/VFD drive) with 10mA driving current requirement will have more drop compared to a device with 2mA driving current.
3) Shielded cables are recommended to extend encoder cables.
4) Encoder repeater can work up to 1000 KHz input signal.
5) Encoder repeater will filter RF noise present in the encoder signal and gives clear square wave output.
6)The distance depends on load connected.So,for one load the distance can be 250 mtrs and if load is changed (higher driving current) then distance will get reduced.
7)Distances indicated in figs a,b,c,d are only references to make a scheme.In a practical system the distances may increase/decrease depending upon cable quality,type of load connected and environmental conditions.
